David E. Wheeler

Biography

David E. Wheeler is a developer at Portland, Oregon-based Values of n, where he writes the code that makes Stikkit's little yellow notes think.

Prior to joining Values of n, David was the Founder and President of Kineticode, the leading provider of consulting, training, and support services for the Bricolage open source content management system. As President, David handled strategic planning, new business development, and Bricolage development. He continues to act as maintainer of the Bricolage project.

David received his formal training in anthropological archaeology, but while in the field he realized that he enjoyed creating a project database application far more than counting pottery sherds. With that insight, he changed careers and never looked back. And so a geek was born.

Today David enjoys hacking on Stikkit, contributing articles about the PostgreSQL RDBMS for the O'Reilly Network and dabbling with an advanced object- relational mapper he has been designing and implementing for several years. He also works hard to prevent his rather dry wit from causing confusion in others.
