Apache and XUL at XTech

The Graphics Communication Association brought its XTech 2000 conference to the San Jose Convention Center this past week. GCA's shows tend to have a high signal-to-noise ratio, especially compared to the exploding range of XML conferences. XTech is, a small conference (maybe 400 people) focusing on XML technology, mostly from a developer's point of view.

XML is a broad enough topic to deliver a wide range of presentations, from EDI folks who see it as a way for purchase orders to communicate to computer engineers who see it as a great machine language.

The presentations were short and tightly focused, and most of the action took place in one large room that hosted the technical track.
